Douglas County Narcotics Team Arrests Felon with Fentanyl, Meth, and Weapons

ROSEBURG, Ore. — The Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) arrested a Myrtle Creek resident for a suspected exchange of narcotics at an intersection in Roseburg on Wednesday morning.

DINT detectives, assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, detained Chet Evans (38) after witnessing a suspected drug activity on the corner of Northeast Casper Avenue and Northeast Odell Avenue.

Investigators found that Evans was carrying 3.5 grams of suspected fentanyl, a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue, an expandable baton, and brass knuckles.

Evans was transported to the Douglas County Jail where he was charged with the unlawful possession of controlled substances and two counts of a felon in possession of a restricted weapon.

The suspect, who is currently on felony probation, has multiple felony convictions and is also a probation detainee for Lane County.
