Oregon Ducks Pummel the USC Trojans in an Exciting 36-27 Win

One of the most anticipated games of the season has finally come to an end. USC was a team everyone was on their seat about, but the Ducks were able to pull through and bring out a win for the fans, ending the game at a fantastic 36-27 win.

Unlike some other hard games the Ducks have had, they led the entire way through with the Trojans, maintaining a steady lead. USC actually managed to push back near the later half of the game, managing to get some points in, but it wasn’t enough to tear down the Ducks.

Downfield coverage was vital to their success, especially during the later half of the game where the Trojans started to push back. Their coverage wasn’t perfect in the beginning, but they were able to maintain it just in time to keep the Trojans’ offense away from the other end of the field.

One player everyone is talking about (more than usual, anyhow) is Bo Nix. The Ducks had one of the nation’s best passing offenses this year, leading his team to a win with 23-of-31 complete passes for 412 yards and 4 TDs. QBs are always vital for good football wins, but Nix absolutely pulled through this time around. In fact, he threw only 8 passes in the first half of the game, and 3 of them were TDs.

However, we can’t sign off without bringing attention to some of the other top players, like Tez Johnson, who really came in to impress with 7 catches for 126 yards and 2 TDs.

There was also Troy Franklin, who got 2 catches for 147 yards and 1 TD, as well as Bucky Irving with 19 carries, 118 yards, and 1 TD. I would be remiss if I didn’t at least shout out Terrance Ferguson, with 6 catches for 60 yards and 1 TD. Finally, Evan Williams was absolutely key to this game as well. Our man came in clutch with 6 solo tackles, 3 assists, 1 sack, a forced fumble, and a pass break up.

So, what’s next? Well, the Ducks will be traveling down to Tempe, Arizona, where they will be facing off against the Arizona State Sun Devils. Said Sun Devils aren’t very high on the charts, which is why many Ducks fans aren’t worrying, but you always have to be wary when on the other team’s court.

The game everyone is really hyped for, though, is the game against Oregon State. We’ll be holding our breath in anticipation of that matchup.
