Medford Police Arrest Person of Interest in Hawthorne Park Shooting Investigation

MEDFORD, Ore. — Medford Police indicated last night that a person of interest was taken into custody in connection with the shooting near Hawthorne Park earlier in the day.

Police closed 8th and E Main Street (Almond to Riverside, both directions) as they pursued investigations into a shooting near the south side of Hawthorne Park.

They later arrested a person of interest, but the names of the people involved are not being released at this time.

The roadways were reopened just before 8:30 p.m. last night. Although the investigation is ongoing, Medford Police indicated that they are not currently looking for anyone involved in this case after the person of interest was taken into custody.
