Corvallis Man Arrested After Punching Woman And Attacking Boyfriend With Sword
CORVALLIS, Ore. — Corvallis Police arrested 29-year-old Seth Amos Grace after, during an early morning drinking session on Saturday, Grace punched a woman in the face and attacked her boyfriend with a katana-style sword, which resulted in hospitalization.
Responding to reports of the incident at Grace’s home on Northwest 23rd Street shortly before 4:30 a.m. on August 30, Corvallis Police Department officers determined that Grace had punched the victim’s girlfriend in the face during an argument in the middle of a drinking session.
Grace broke the woman’s nose and then later attacked a 31-year-old male victim with a katana-style sword, resulting in a serious leg injury for the victim. The woman received care for her injury at the scene. At the same time, the sword assault victim was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Grace was arrested and lodged at Benton County Jail, facing multiple charges, including:
- Attempted assault in the first degree
- Assault in the second degree
- Unlawful use of a weapon
- Assault in the fourth degree – domestic violence
