Visual interpretations of winter by 15 artists — landscapes, indoor scenes and abstracts in watercolor, oil, pastel and acrylic — will be presented through January at Art & Soul Gallery. Ashland Art Works also hosts a group show, and welcomes two new artists: Potter Bonnie Morgan and fiber artist Angelica Stewart.

Photographer John Kirk will display a retrospective of panoramic landscapes at Photographers' Gallery in the Ashland Art Center. Look for dynamic images of lavender fields in Washington, farmland in Oregon and the Red Rock Country in the Southwest.

Studio A.B. — workplace of digital artist Bruce Bayard and fine artist Ann DiSalvo — will host "Post Inauguration Action" the day after Inauguration Day, Jan. 20. Proceeds from the sale of images from Bayard's "The Disintegration Series" will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union.

Receptions for the artists will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at participating galleries for Ashland First Friday Art Walk. Pick up gallery tour maps at any of the listed galleries, the Ashland Chamber of Commerce or download one from www.ashlandgalleries.com.
