ASHLAND — Southern Oregon senior Ben DeSaulnier became a three-time All-Cascade Conference selection, and Kenny Meyer and Jordan Hunt both earned honorable mention in the postseason awards that were announced Wednesday by the CCC office.

DeSaulnier, a 6-foot-3 wing from Philomath, was a top-10 scorer in the CCC for the third year in a row as he helped the Raiders to a 20-12 record. He averaged 16 points per game — shooting 51 percent from the field, 44 percent from 3 and 85 percent at the line — while also ranking 12th on the conference steals list with 1.2 per game.

DeSaulnier joined former Raiders Eric Thompson and Shea Washington as the team's only three-time all-conference picks during the CCC era. He finished his career as a 52-percent shooter from the field, landing at No. 2 on the school's career scoring list (2,019 points), No. 5 on the steals list (132) and No. 9 on the assists list (273).

A preseason hampered by injuries likely kept Meyer off the 12-person All-CCC team, but the senior guard from Sparks, Nev., finished strong with the best season of his career. Among all CCC players in conference games, he ranked 20th in points (12.8), fifth in assists (4.5), ninth in steals (1.4) and first in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.7-to-1). Meyer also wrapped up his four years at SOU 19th on the program's scoring list (1,025) and sixth in assists (359). He's the only player in team history to accumulate at least 1,000 points, 300 assists and 100 steals.

DeSaulnier and Meyer left with 88 total wins. They helped SOU to the national quarterfinals for the second time in team history as freshmen, then led the Raiders back to the national tourney as sophomores.

Hunt, a sophomore forward, was 18th in points (13.0), 10th in rebounds (6.6) and second in blocks (1.4) in the conference. He was sixth in field-goal percentage (56.2) and ninth in free-throw accuracy (79.1).
