Southern Oregon's Matt Boudreaux tipped in the game-tying bucket on a baseline out-of-bounds play with three-tenths of a second left in regulation, and the ninth-ranked Raiders prevailed in overtime against No. 25 Warner Pacific, 104-98, Friday night at Mountain Avenue Gym.
Boudreaux, making his SOU basketball debut after finishing out his senior season with the football team, didn't appear until the second half but finished with 12 points and four rebounds. Kenny Meyer led the way with 26, Ben DeSaulnier had 20 points and nine rebounds and Tristen Holmes totaled 19 points, 12 rebounds and five assists to lead the Raiders (9-5 overall, 4-1 Cascade Conference).
WPC (10-4, 5-1), which had a 12-point lead with nine minutes left, got 24 points apiece from Keaton Bankofier and Xavier Cannefax.
Ariel Augustine recorded 18 points and eight rebounds and 11th-ranked Southern Oregon had a 26-4 advantage in fast-break points in a 95-68 win over Warner Pacific on Friday night at Mountain Avenue Gym.
The Raiders (12-1 overall, 4-1 Cascade Conference) shot a season-high 49 percent from the field (32-of-66) with 10 3-pointers, also getting a season-high 14 points from freshman Sophia Altemus off the bench.
The Knights dropped to 8-8 and 4-2 in the CCC.
