Hidden Valley outscored Ashland 9-1 in the last two minutes to overcome a five-point deficit and pull out a 64-61 nonleague victory in boys basketball action Friday at Mountain Avenue Gym.

The Grizzlies, who fell to 0-2, led 60-55 before the visiting Mustangs stormed back.

Adam Jones led Ashland in scoring with 18 points, Anthony Swanson added 13 and Joseph Wallner-Sentle 11.

Hidden Valley's Kolton Fisher scored a game-high 21 points and Parker Wright added 12. The Mustangs improved to 1-1.

Ashland, which trailed 33-31 at the half, missed 13 free throws and 16 3-pointers.

The Grizzlies next travel to South Lake Tahoe, Nevada, for the George Whittell Tournament, Dec. 8-9.
