The second annual Grizzly Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 12 beginning at 8 a.m. at Oak Knoll Golf Course.
The 18-hole, four-person scramble costs $75 per person or $300 per team to register, and carts are available on a "first-team-to-register/pay" basis.
To register, call Oak Knoll Golf Course at 541-482-4311.
The event is being organized for the second year in a row by Ashland High School incoming senior Ginny Cotton, a standout for the Grizzlies girls' golf team who is running the tourney this year for her senior project.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the girls' golf team and the Knight Cancer Institute at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. Last year's event benefited only the golf team, but Cotton decided this year to split the proceeds between the team and the Knight Cancer Institute in honor of her brother, Reid Honeywell, a leukemia and stem cell transplant survivor treated by OHSU from 2009 to 2015.
A raffle and luncheon will take place after the tournament on the clubhouse patio, and donations are still being accepted in the form of raffle prizes, hole sponsorships and direct financial contributions to the Grizzly golf club.
