Eyera Nogues delivered an RBI single in the first inning but that proved to be all Ashland could muster as the Ambush fell 4-1 to Alaska in the pool play round of the Little League 50/70 Regional Championships, Wednesday in Nogales, Arizona.

Ashland was set to face Hawaii and the host team on Friday. The Ashland-Hawaii game was originally scheduled for Thursday night but was washed out by thunderstorms and flooding.

Against Alaska, the Ambush had three hits by Nogues, Ean Lawrence and Jackson Kemper.

Lawrence also threw 6 1/3 innings, struck out 12 and surrendered three hits.

Alaska scored two in the third inning, one in the fourth and one in the fifth in a game that was scheduled to start at 8 p.m. but was pushed to 9:30 thanks to a weather delay and didn't end until about 11:45 p.m.
