Submission Guidelines

Welcome to the Daily Tidings' International Café.

To submit your own stories and photos, please see our guidelines below:

Stories should be written in Microsoft Word or in any other word processor and saved as a .DOC, .RTF, or .TXT file. Attach the document to an email and send to mmurphy@dailytidings.com. Be sure to send a copy to abolsinger@dailytidings.com.

Attach photos to the same email as .JPG images. All photos must be a minimum of 150 dpi resolution and 10 inches wide. No more than 6 photos please. If the size of the total number of attached photos exceeds 10MB, please split them into separate emails and ensure each email contains the same subject line information.

Subject line info:

All submissions should begin with "Intl Cafe:" and include the title of your submission after the colon:

(example — Intl Cafe: Mike Green visits Yachats)

In the body of the email, include your name, complete address, telephone number and email. Be sure to include the date of the trip and photos taken. 

Photo Captions:

Name each caption the same as the photo name.

Example: MGreen3.jpg: This photo taken Feb. 22, 2007 shows the the beach at Yachats with Mike Green flying a kite.

*Please note that only those submissions under 1,000 words will be considered for inclusion in the Daily Tidings print product. All others will be considered for the Web site only.
