Support Mt. Ashland
With the impressive new improvements to the Mt. Ashland lodge, the ski area has completed its most significant capital project in decades. The project was unveiled to the public last weekend with a ceremony recognizing the generous support of the community in raising funds for the improvements.
The project would not have been possible without the generous matching grant of $500,000 from the Sid and Karen DeBoer Foundation. Fundraising for the project has now surpassed $1.2 million, and the DeBoer Foundation has announced an additional $100,000 matching grant to complete fundraising by Dec. 31, 2017. This will enable the ski area to complete the lodge while maintaining healthy reserves for future years.
Please support Mt. Ashland and help the ski area take advantage of the DeBoers' generous gift by donating before the end of the year. Each dollar donated (up to $100,000) will be matched by their foundation if given or pledged before the end of the year. Additional information is available on mtashland.com.

Thanks for remodel
The Mt. Ashland Lodge remodel is a huge success witnessed by many celebrating the Dec. 9 "Snow Stomp." The deluge of compliments centers on the soaring openness and light of the interior revealing original construction elements which had been obscured by a half century of "improvements."
With the sensible reallocation of basement space for the rental shop and expanded indoor space built over existing outdoor decks, the needs and convenience of the skiers and snowboarders are much improved.
Many thanks to the architects, workers and donors! Do go up the mountain and enjoy the whole experience!
