Unexpectedly Early

Our Jim was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was the eldest child of Clifford and MarLyn.

He was reborn when he moved to the West, Sun Valley, Idaho in 1971. He loved every part of this vast region.

Jim was born yet again when in 1989 he met and married Pam. The arc of his life, which before Pam had been jagged and sometimes turned down, soared upward.

Jim and Pam spent nearly 30 years together. They shared many pastimes including skiing, bicycling, golfing, and several memorial trips to Italy where his 25% Italian DNA shone brightly and he took on the nickname, Giacomo.

Jim was a master craftsman, a builder, and cabinetmaker of the highest caliber. Close enough was never in his vocabulary.

He taught himself to do many things very well, including wine making and competitive bicycling.

Jim was an avid reader and an informed citizen who believed deeply in justice for all.

He is survived by his wife, Pam of Jacksonville; brother, Rob (Linda) of McLean, Virginia; sister, Carroll (Harold) of Glenwood, Minn.; and many nephews and nieces in Minnesota, Connecticut, Caifornia, British Columbia, and Virginia.

We miss him deeply.
