May 18, 1942 - November 6, 2017
Paul Eugene Telerski, 75, of Corning, Ohio passed away November 6, 2017. Born May 18, 1942 in Columbus, he was the son of the late Dr. Sygmund and Mary (Simon) Telerski.
Paul was raised and educated in Columbus and graduated from Columbus South High School in 1960. He received degrees from Ohio State University and Tulane University and spent a good part of his life in the Pacific Northwest before returning to Ohio as a teacher of social work. Upon retirement in 2002, he relocated to Nashua, New Hampshire to be near his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.
Paul loved seeing new places and enjoyed nothing more than getting in his car and driving someplace new, always wondering what the next day would bring. He enjoyed music and would often show up with his guitar or ukulele to pass the time. He enjoyed family gatherings and holidays and could find the dessert table well before the meal was ever served. Simply being outside and walking, particularly at the family property in Corning, brought him much happiness. He was an avid fan of his three grandchildren and proud of their many accomplishments, logging many hours at baseball fields and in bleachers, as well as at concerts, recitals, and parades. He had joy in his heart and goodness in his soul.
Paul is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Laura Telerski of Nashua, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Noah, Benjamin, and Alanya also of Nashua; his siblings, Robert Telerski and his wife, Marge, of Columbus, Thomas Telerski of De Pue, Illinois, and Aimee Convery of Solon, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, James "Jake" Telerski of Corning, Ohio.
Services will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Paul Telerski to support cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via www.dana-farber.org/gift.
