Daniel E. Gilman, 75, passed away November 8, 2017 surrounded by close family. He was born in Medford, Oregon and lived in the Rogue Valley his whole life.

He graduated from Medford High School in 1960. Among some other local jobs, he worked at 3M in White City for over 25 years.

Dan was a loving dad, grandpa, brother, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and gardening. Whether on a river in Alaska, hunting in Eastern Oregon, or on a mountain lake, his happiest memories were being in nature.

He is survived by his two daughters, Dawn Sullivan and Heather Rogers (Don); granddaughters, Sarah (Ben), Stacie, Marissa, Kaila, and Serina; and a great-grandson Abel. Another great-grandchild is due in January. Dan is also survived by his sister, Gerrie Cramer and brother, Robert Gilman Jr. (Joan). He was preceded by his parents, Robert Gilman Sr. and Gladys Gilman of Medford.

In Dan’s honor, there will be a celebration of life service at 10:00 a.m. December 18, 2017 at Perl Funeral Home, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford, OR. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of the donor’s choice.
