September 8, 1920 - March 2, 2017
Carolyn Morris passed away March 2, 2017 in Ashland, Oregon.
She moved to Ashland in 1983 to be close to her aging parents and started a bed and breakfast named The Miners’ Addition on Siskiyou. She ran that business for five years until she sold it and began working as the office manager for Lahr Landscaping. She worked until her husband, Chuck Lahr, retired 10 years ago.
Carolyn had many careers and passions in her life. When she was young she was a vocal soloist, Scout leader, military wife, and mother of five children. She ran the Foreign Student Host program at the University of Colorado and was a conference coordinator for ASTM. After she moved to Ashland she was involved in Elder Hostel and was a vendor at the local farmers’ market. She was a wonderful cook, excellent seamstress, and loving mother. She traveled alone to many parts of the world and was an avid reader.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Chuck Lahr; four children; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband and a daughter.
She will be remembered as an adventurer and woman of many talents.
