Holocaust Remembrance Day: The Havurah Synagogue and Temple Emek Shalom will join for the annual commemoration of Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Temple Emek Shalom, 1800 E. The director and some of the cast of the Collaborative Theater Project’s recent powerful performance of “The Diary of Anne Frank” will be on hand to talk about how putting on the play impacted them. Rabbi David Zaslow will share about his experience in Auschwitz last year as part of the March of the Living program and Rabbi Joshua Boettiger will bring some “poetry of witness” from Paul Celan, Nellie Sachs, and others. In this talk, Stonelake will discuss hyperoperations, which is a sequence of operations for compounding numbers that increase in growth iteratively without assuming any material prerequisite math knowledge.
