Preschool Puppet Theatre: See what Brenda Bear and friends are up to at 10:30 a.m. the second Friday of every month at North Mountain Park Nature Center, 620 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland. Dmitri Matheny Group: Composer and flugelhorn player Dmitri Matheny and his band will perform his trademark jazz at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at Paschal Winery, 1122 Suncrest Road, Talent. First introduced to jazz audiences in the 1990s as the protégé of Art Farmer, Matheny has matured into “one of the jazz world's most talented horn players,” according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
