Police were dispatched to Talent Middle School Tuesday after officials learned about a threat made Friday regarding a school shooting, according to a press release from Talent police. While they were at the school, police heard about an unrelated threat that occurred Monday, the release said.
In both cases, Talent Middle School students came forward to make the reports, police said.
The investigation found one threat originated in Talent and the other originated in Phoenix. Phoenix police officers were already on scene assisting the Talent Police Department, so each agency conducted an investigation into the incident that originated in their jurisdiction, the release said.
The subjects involved have been identified, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
"The threats were determined not to be related to each other, nor were they found to be credible. There is no longer a concern at the school regarding the incidents," police said.
"Each agency involved is aware of the significance of a thorough and complete investigation regarding violence, especially when it involves our children and our schools," the release said.
