Ashland High School actors turned in an impressive performance at the Regional Acting Competition on the first weekend of February at South Eugene High School. Twenty-five AHS actors competed, with 13 winning 18 awards.

Eleven of the actors won blue ribbons as state qualifiers (with scores in the top 10 percent); they will go on to the state acting competition in Salem in April.

Five of the actors won gold ribbons as regional finalists; they scored in the top 20 percent but could have been 1-2 points away from the top 10 percent scores, which happened twice.

These are the state qualifiers: Sierra Milburn, duo musical and solo musical; Kyle Storie, duo musical and duo dramatic experienced; Zoe Lishinsky, solo acting experienced and solo musical; Julia Laurenson, duo dramatic experienced; Nicky Clary, duo comedic experienced; Kate Jaques Prentice, duo comedic experienced; Nur Shelton, solo musical acting; Sienna Ross, solo acting experienced; Avram Rosewood, duo comedic acting; Braden Rogers, duo comedic acting; and Akira Supelana-Mix, solo acting.
