The Ashland Independent Film Festival is accepting films made by young people, in kindergarten through college age, for its 2018 Film Festival. All film genres are accepted: animation, documentary or narrative.

Young people who live in Coos, Curry, Douglas, Jackson, Josephine or Klamath counties in Oregon or Del Norte or Siskiyou counties in California can submit their short films for free to the Ashland Independent Film Festival’s LAUNCH Student Film Competition. The films must be under five minutes in length.

All film creators who submit a film will receive two tickets to the 2018 festival, April 12-16. Winning films will be screened during the festival and winning filmmakers will receive cash prizes and a pass to all AIFF films and special events. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 5.
