Monster Dash: The ninth annual Monster Dash Run for Education is Saturday, Oct. 28, beginning in Lithia Park in Ashland. The 10K run begins at 8:30 a.m., a one-mile fun run/walk is at 10 a.m., followed by 5K run/walk at 10:45. Winners receive cash prizes. Age group winners receive gift card prizes. Proceeds benefit Ashland public schools. All races are chip timed, and costumes are encouraged. Creepy and Crawly Halloween Celebration: ScienceWorks will host Creepy and Crawly, a family Halloween celebration, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the museum, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland.
