Talent's annual Day of the Dead Race will set off at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, near City Hall, 110 E. Main St., and will feature a 1 mile fun run and 5K and 10K races.

In conjunction with the race, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival has sponsored a Dia de los Muertos Art Workshop at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at the OSF Production Building, 408 Talent Ave.

Attendees will be able to decorate their own Calavera (skull) for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Space is limited and reservations required — message the Day of the Dead Facebook page, www.facebook.com/dayofthedeadrace.

Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday celebrating the memories of deceased loved ones.

Top three runners in each race will be awarded a Day of the Dead handmade skull. There will be entertainment and a post-race party.
