Call to Teen Writers: The Medford Teen library is sponsoring a scary story writing contest through Oct. 21. Teens are invited to visit the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave., to pick up a writing prompt then write a scary story of 500 words or fewer. Prizes will be awarded to the top three stories and featured at the annual Spooky Story Read-Aloud Oct. 30.
