Registration is open for Ashland’s 41st annual 4th of July Run, which includes a 2-mile fun run and a 10-kilometer race on Tuesday, July 4. The annual run is steeped in 4th of July Run logo tradition dating back to 1976, and attracts local competitors as well as running talent from other regions in the U.S.

The event costs $10 for those 12-and-under and start at $20 for those 13-and-up, regardless of which event they choose. Early registrations are discounted.

Both races begin at 7:45 a.m. near the Ashland Public Library (410 Siskiyou Blvd.) and are chip-timed. The routes are scenic and on closed roadways, and a section of the 10k route is along the tree-lined Bear Creek Greenway.
