Walker Elementary School's Blue Wolf Bazaar will give local residents the opportunity to buy goods from the school's students and families, as well as from well-known, longtime local vendors.

The Parent Teacher Organization event benefits student programs for Walker school, including Stories Alive (providing writing workshops for students), an overnight field trip for fourth-graders, drumming workshops with kindergarteners and an irrigation system for the school’s teaching garden.

Students will be selling garage sale items and handmade crafts, and many will be helping at their parents’ booths, learning the ins-and-outs of market enterprise. They will be joined by local small business owners, henna artists, LulaRoe vendors and market entertainers. Coffee, baked goods, hot dogs and sno-cones will be available for purchase.

Local vendors who will participate include Flow Factory NW Hats, Lucky Boy Decor, Norwex Cleaning Solutions, Hoopla fitness hoops and Nesting Doll Designs.

“We think people will really enjoy the eclectic nature of the market, both in the types of items up for sale, as well as the people who are vendors,” says Walker PTO member and organizer, Amy Kneeland. “We have students who are being entrepreneurial, as well as professional artisans and crafters.”
