Artist Competition: Registration is now open for the Southern Oregon Plein Air 2007 outdoor painting competition running from Thursday, June 29, through Saturday, July 1, at various local locations. The base, closed in 1981 and now the Siskiyou Smokejumper Base Museum, was one of four original aerial firefighter bases in the nation in 1943.
