Ashland Independent Film Festival Preview Night: AIFF will announce its 2017 film and event lineup at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, at the Southern Oregon University Recital Hall, Ashland. Brava! Opera: Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti's 1843 comic opera, "Don Pasquale," will be presented at 8 p.m. Friday, March 17, and 3 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the Mountain Avenue Theatre on the Ashland High School campus, 201 S. Mountain Ave. Directed by Willene Gunn and conducted by Martin Majkut, this fully staged opera will be performed in English. The show will feature a cast of professional singers and instrumentalists, and Donizetti's hilarious plot and sublime music combine to create a masterpiece.
