The city of Ashland is asking citizens to help inform an update of the Housing Element of Ashland's Comprehensive Plan.

The document sets a long-range vision for community development within the city. The Housing Element sets the values and priorities for development over time and provides guidance for policy implementation.

The city will host an open house and community forum to collect community input on the current Housing Element Goal and Policies as part of the Housing Element update on Wednesday, March 8, at the Ashland Senior Center, 1699 Holmes Ave. The informal open house will allow people to drop in between 5 and 6 p.m. The community forum will be a facilitated discussion which will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Citizens are encouraged to attend and provide input.

More information and a link to a brief questionnaire can be found on the city’s website at www.ashland.or.us/housingelementupdate.
