World Day of Prayer: A local World Day of Prayer service is scheduled for Friday, March 3, at Calvin Hall at the First Presbyterian Church, 1615 Clark Ave., Ashland. The ecumenical service will begin at 1 p.m., with refreshments and fellowship time to follow. A liturgy written by women of the Philippines will be used in gatherings around the globe. The theme, “Am I Being Unfair to You?” is based on Jesus’ parable of the “Laborers in the Field.” The local celebration, hosted by Presbyterian Women, will be led by women from five different denominations. All who wish to share in the service are welcome.

Savanna: Rhythm guitarist and singer Liz Jones, percussionist Anna Christensen and bassist Bob Rawlings will play a mix of country, rock, folk and more at 6 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Belle Fiore Winery, 100 Belle Fiore Lane (off Dead Indian Memorial Road), Ashland. Paper Wings with Lela & Rainy: A concert of old-time music by acoustic duo Paper Wings — featuring Emily Mann and Wilhelmina Frenkzerda — will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Mountain House, 1148 Old Siskiyou Highway, Ashland. Enso String Quartet: This New York-based quartet will perform Hugo Wolf's "Italian Serenade," Giacomo Puccini's "I Crisantemi," Alberto Ginastera's String Quartet No. 2, and Maurice Ravel's String Quartet in F major at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 3, in the Music Recital Hall, 405 S. Mountain Ave., on the Southern Oregon University campus in Ashland. Talent Garden Club: The club meets the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon at the Talent library, 101 Home St. The club will host a seed exchange from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4. Kids Hamentash Bakeoff: Children have the opportunity to make hamentashen (a traditional triangular filled cookie). Songs, dancing, crafts and games will follow.
