The Nightmare Chamber Haunted House
Southern Oregon's most elaborate haunted house returns to Randall Theatre, 10 Third St., Medford. This year's theme is The Family. Step inside another dimension and look for hungry cannibals and mutants. Hours are 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 13-15, Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 19-22, and Thursday through Tuesday, Oct. 26-31. The attraction is not recommended for ages 10 and younger. Admission is $12. Fast passes skip the general admission line and are $15. Tickets with a discount of $2 can be purchased at Magic Man Fun Shops in Medford and Grants Pass.
'Sweet Home Chicago'
Craterian Music Hall will present a tribute to blues music by icons B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Bessie Smith, Big Mama Thornton, Robert Johnson and more at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13-14, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. Look for singers Bishop Mayfield, Jennifer dePuglia, Jade Chavis and Lisa Yriarte, guitarists Gene Black and Doug Warner, drummer David Bolen, bassist Jeff Addicott and keyboard player Don Harriss. American Brass Quintet
American Brass Quintet will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, and 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, in the Music Recital Hall, 405 S. Mountain Ave., on the Southern Oregon University campus in Ashland. Friday's concert will feature consort music of Elizabethan and Jacobean England, music by Brazilian composer Osvaldo Lacerda, French chansons by Josquin des Prés and music by American composers Steven Franklin, Steven Sacco and Joan Tower. Saturday’s program includes a variety of music by Giovanni Gabrieli, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina and Robert Fuchs. T.C. and The Reactions
R&B band T.C. and The Reactions — Paul Stafford on guitars and vocals, Jon Glaser on drums, Thom Cammarota on bass and vocals, Gary Nelson on trombone and Tom Reilly on sax — will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at Grape Street Bar and Grill, 31 S. Grape St., Medford. There is no cover for the show.
The Paul Turnipseed Trio, Opus 3, Thor Polson Trio, The Scherer/Durst Quintet and the Southern Oregon Jazz Orchestra will perform from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the First Presbyterian Church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford. The jazz concert is a benefit to raise money to help with disaster relief for hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, and will be distributed by Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. Hats will be passed.
