Curator and artist Shane McAdams will speak about his work at length in the Meese Auditorium in the art building at Southern Oregon University at 5:30 p.m. Monday. The lecture is free to the public.

McAdams is a co-curator and participating artist in the Schneider Museum of Art's winter exhibition, Exploring Reality. McAdams is one of nine artists who contributed to the exhibit which, according to Schneider Museum of Art will "explore reality to complement the Southern Oregon University campus theme."

The participating artists work in many mediums, including painting, printmaking, installation and scripture.

McAdams, a writer, curator, artist and professor with studios in Cedarburg, Wis., and Brooklyn, N.Y., is a three-time Creative Capital, Andy Warhol Writer's Grant finalist and his work has appeared regularly in the Brooklyn Rail since 2002.
