Former Ashland High shortstop Nick Hall had four hits in a recent two-game series against the Corvallis Knights, raising his batting average for the Portland Toros to .329.

Hall, who graduated from Ashland High School in 2010 and just completed his sophomore season at Pacific Lutheran University, went 2-for-4 in Friday's 3-0 loss and 2-for-4 in Saturday's 13-1 setback while playing shortstop.

The Toros (11-12 WCLP) are tied for third in the league standings heading into the league tournament, which begins Thursday at Mt. Hood Community College.
