Ida Louise Walters passed away July 4, 2012, at Boulder Manor, Boulder, Colo. She was 102 years old. Louise was born in Cloud County, Kan., March 3, 1910, to Thomas and Lora (Lindsay) Coffman. In 1930, she married Charles S. Walters, and together they formed a 30-year partnership in the restaurant business in both Kansas and Ashland, Ore., until Charles' death in 1961.

She moved to Boulder in 1966, to be close to her family. She worked as office manager for the Flatirons Country Club from 1966 until retirement. During her working career she was an active member in the Soroptimist Club, an international service organization. She also enjoyed stamp collecting and was an accomplished seamstress and quilter.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. She is survived by a son, William Walters, and his wife, Betty, of Boulder, Colo.; four grandchildren, Laurie Walters, and husband, Joel Schaler, of Salida, Colo.; Lisa, and husband, Erik Rasmussen, and Lynda Walters, all of Grand Mesa, Calif.; and Charles Walters, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and four great-grandchildren, Morgaan and Cole Walters-Schaler, and Kyle and Lindsay Rasmussen.
