Born April 29, 1945

Confronted by more than his share of threats to his health, Jon fed his well-being through his work as a chef, his great interest in physics and modern art, the loving care of his feline and avian housemates, and by befriending the swan that had been exiled from Lithia Park. He shared his musical talents on clarinet, oboe, and English horn with a variety of ensembles, and when it became apparent that he would no longer play his instruments, he generously dispersed them to those who could continue his legacy.

Finally, his kidneys failed him, and Jon left us Wednesday, July 11, 2012.
