Arthur W. Robinson, 84, of Central Point, Ore., passed away July 17, 2012, at Rogue Valley Medical Center. Art was born in Port Angeles, Wash., May 8, 1928. In 1949, he married Frances Pollard; in 1950, they relocated to Northern California where Art continued his career in the logging industry.

After suffering a logging accident he began what would be a long career in the insurance industry. Arthur and Frances owned Anderson-Robinson Insurance Agency in Arcata, Calif., for 38 years, until he retired in 1996. Art was a member of both the Ingomar Club and Rotary International. In addition, he served on both the Board of Directors of the Independent Insurance Agents of California and the Board of Directors of Redwood United in Arcata, Calif.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Marguerite; as well as two sisters, Vivian Swanson and Nita Sharrenberg. Art leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Frances; children, Steven, Marcia Holmes (Jim), and Russell; grandchildren, Travis (Kristen), Stephanie Murphy (Tom), and Austin; and two great-children, Conner and Tanner.

A celebration of life officiated by Pastor Terry Graunke, will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012, 2:00 p.m., at the Meadows Community Center, 555 Freeman Road, Central Point, Ore.
