About a year and half ago, the three, now all part of the Ashland band Siskiyou Summit, decided they didn't want the Foxfire repertoire to go to waste, so they formed the Foxfire Trio.

Evoniuk says the trio backs into the bluegrass genre. It plays progressive and contemporary bluegrass, which is more or less rock and country with bluegrass instrumentation. It also plays some contemporary rock and classic covers by Dave Mason, The Allman Brothers and others.

Foxfire Trio will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, July 20, at The Playwright Public House, 258 A St., Ashland. There is no cover charge. Call 541-488-9128.
