More than 100 Le Cirque students ages 5 to 19 will perform in the circus-arts school’s production of “The Lion King.” Shows are set for 7 p.m. Friday, June 8, and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Historic Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St. Under the direction and choreography of Lorenzo SantaBarbara, the students will use trapeze, aerial silks and flying hoops to tell the story of Simba, a playful lion cub who will one day reign over the Pride Lands.
