Minta Mae Skelton, 92, of Medford, Ore., passed away March 10, 2012, at the Farmington Square Senior Care Community.
Minta was born on April 25, 1919, in Hazel, Okla. On September 30, 1939, in Norman, Okla., she married Walter Ernest Skelton, who preceded her in death on October 13, 1996.
They moved to the Rogue Valley from Norman in 1955. She worked at Harry and David for several years before becoming a fulltime homemaker.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning, RV traveling, Bible study and playing table games.
Survivors include two daughters, Jacquelyn Nissen, of Saddle Brooke, Ariz., and Mary Miles, of Meridian, Idaho; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and six great-granddaughters.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation for the compassionate care that Farmington Square and Asante Hospice provided for Minta.
A graveside service will be held March 16, 2012, 2:00 p.m., at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rogue Valley Medical Center - Asante Hospice, the Alzheimer's Association, or to your favorite charity.
Arrangements are by Memory Gardens Memorial Park and Mortuary, Medford.
