ScienceWorks Museum will present hands-on activities that demonstrate the science of fire and ice on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 28 and 29. The exhibits will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29. Admission is $7.50, $5 for children ages 2 through 12 and seniors 65 and older. Activities will include creating bubbles with dry ice, ice cube painting and flame testing. A show about the elements of fire and ice will be presented at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday in the Science Theater. Visitors can learn ice climbing with the owner of the Rogue Rock Gym from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the theater. A combustion show will be presented at 1 p.m. Sunday.

There also will be ice cream-making workshops. Make homemade ice cream from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:15 to 2 p.m. Sunday. See liquid nitrogen used to make ice cream from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Vanilla ice cream will be available for $1, coconut for $1.25. Call 541-482-6767.
