Clara Bernice Stovall, 96, of Central Point, Ore., passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at Alderwood Assisted Living Facility. She was born July 6, 1915, in Sayre, Okla., to Burt and Maude Reynolds.
On July 17, 1934, she married Joe B. Stovall, at Dill City, Okla. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1936. Clara worked in orchards, and Stroms gardens, and around 1955 went to work at the Rogue Valley Cannery for a number of years. She lived in Central Point, Phoenix and Ashland. In 1973, she moved to Medford and in 1999, moved to Alderwood Assisted Living Facility.
Clara is survived by Marion Zook, of Sandy, Ore.; Charlotte Crowson, of Eugene, Ore.; Alma Stevens, of Medford, Ore.; a younger sister, Peggy Van Pelt, of Klamath Falls, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; son, Brison; three younger sisters; and two younger brothers.
No service was held. Conger-Morris handled the burial.
