Siskiyou Summit plays old bluegrass, new bluegrass and covers that aren't bluegrass but sound like bluegrass.

The five-piece band, featuring Jeff Jones on mandolin, Bob Evoniuk on dobro, Glenn Freese on guitar, Crystal Reeves on fiddle, Sam Cuenca on upright bass and Rick Nelson on banjo, has played at bars, private parties and bluegrass festivals throughout the Rogue Valley for more than a decade. Besides originals, the group prides itself on its ability to "bluegrass up" songs from other genres, including "Forever Young" by Bob Dylan, "Feelin' Alright" by Dave Mason and "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac.

The group will play at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Avalon Bar and Grill, 105 W. Valley View Road, Talent.
