A dance number from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story” and a piece from Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” are among the highlights of Ashland High School’s annual fine arts festival, along with performances of Grieg’s Holberg Suite and tunes by Richard Meyer by the chamber and concert orchestras. The festival starts at 5:30 p.m., with a silent auction and art show in the school’s Mountain Avenue Theatre, 201 S. Mountain Ave. Also look for a fashion show from fiber arts students and videos from video production and digital media students. The musical and theatrical performances will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and are available at www.showtix4u.com, Paddington Station or at the door. Proceeds will benefit the school’s department of fine and performing arts.
