C. Faith Sinanan passed away peacefully in her home in Ashland, Ore., October 18, 2011, surrounded by family and friends and her beloved pets. Born in Victoria, BC, Canada, Faith graduated from Sprague High School in Salem and Southern Oregon College in Ashland. A much-loved and highly regarded member of her community, Faith worked as a nurse in various settings for two decades. Initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, Faith had many years of good health and vibrant living before she drew her final breath in the sanctuary of her home. She was a shining light to all who knew her.

Faith is survived by her daughter, Viyda L. Schatz, of Eugene, Ore.; sisters, Sandra "Sam" Sinanan (Don Nataros), of North Bend, Wash., and Laraine Sinanan, of Banks, Ore.; mother, Gladys Sinanan, of Salem, Ore.; nephews, MacKenzie, Quinn Neal, and Wyatt Nataros; and niece, Maya Nataros. She is preceded in death by her father, Dr. Ranvir H. Sinanan, in 1990.

The family would like to thank Faith's medical team in Seattle, Wash., and Medford, Ore., and nurse Brenda of Ashland Hospital Hospice & Palliative Care, for their skilled, loving and compassionate care.
