Loretta E. Hague, age 69, of Grants Pass, Ore., died Tuesday, September 27, 2011, as a result of an automobile accident.
Loretta was born in San Diego, Calif., in 1942, to Earl and Thelma Edwards. She graduated from Lincoln High School in San Diego, with three art scholarships. She was a member of La Mesa Art Guild. She moved to Southern Oregon with her first husband, John R. Thomson, now living in Las Vegas, Nev., and their two children, John Christopher and Deborah Ann, in 1976. She went on with her college education at Southern Oregon State University, graduating with a major and degree in art. She married her current husband, Robert "Noah" Hague, in 1983. She worked at Ashland Community Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 2004. She was an accomplished artist in several mediums. She loved her many flowers, gardening and landscaping.
She was preceded in death by sister, Eunice; and brother, Theodore. She is survived by her husband, R.W. "Noah" Hague; her son, John, of Grants Pass, Ore.; daughter,
Deborah, of Alaska; two granddaughters, Kira, and Heather; one grandson, John; sisters, Eloise Christopherson, of Rapid City, Iowa, Natalie McClure, of Ashville, N.C., and Marlene Leet, of Colorado; and three stepgrandsons, Robert Jr., Troy and Hugh.
Loretta was a loving, caring, giving person who lived a very driven life, never willing to retire totally. At the time of her passing, she lived on her farm with husband, Noah, working in her gardens, fruit orchard and flower beds, as well as tending to her chickens and household pets. Loving and doing things with her children and grandchildren was the top of her list. To her closest friends she was also known as "Rainbow", which were always a delight to her life; she
always stopped and savored them.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Hull & Hull Chapel. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
