Nature exhibit: Jefferson Nature Center will host the second annual "Shifting Patterns: Preparing for Unsettled Days" art project, to be showcased Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave., and Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd. The project, funded by the Oregon Arts Commission, features writers and visual and performing artists who interpret what they learned from climate-change expert Brian Barr and two recent reports on preparing for climate change in the Rogue and Klamath basin. The artists are Cathleen Casey, Linda Elesiya Evans, Paula Fong, Bruce Harlow, Diana Hartel, Leslie Lee, Jerry Martien, Dennis Meiners, Mabrie Ormes, Leona Sewitsky and David Lorenz Winston.
