Laurent Larry R. Falcy, of Trail, Ore., passed away peacefully Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Rogue Valley Medical Center, surrounded by his wife, all his children, and his brother. He was born April 24, 1935, in Weehawken, N.J., to Roger and Mae Falcy.

Larry graduated from Tenafly High School in N.J. After graduation, Larry joined the Army. Larry had four children with his first wife, Janis Quine. In 1970, Larry married Barbara (Schmidt) Falcy, the love of his life. They had two children. They lived in Eagle Point and Trail, Ore. He and Barbara enjoyed many years of camping with all the children, traveling to Mexico and being with their seven grandchildren.

Larry worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus in Medford, Ore. Larry enjoyed camping, fishing, bird watching, and spending quality time with his youngest granddaughter, Alycia.

Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara Falcy, of Trail, Ore.; brother, Roger Falcy, and his wife Evelyn; five children, Christopher, Kathryn, Michael, Justin, and Matthew; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Kenny, Tyler, Savanah, Sarah, Brennan, Alycia, and his fourth granddaughter coming in June.

A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Shady Cove, Ore. A reception at the church will follow. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
