Kenneth LeRoy Brown, 78, of Roseburg, Ore., passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at his home.
Ken served in the U.S Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Jacksonville Masonic Lodge. Ken was self-employed at Ken Brown Meats. He loved gardening, outdoor activities, cooking, his family, and his dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; three children, Diane (Ken) Hoffine, of Roseburg, Ore., Karen (Dan) Peterson, of Corvallis, Ore., and Loren Brown, of San Francisco, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Orrin and Frances Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Melanoma Research Foundation, 1411 K Street, NW Suite 500, Washington DC, 20005.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in the Veteran's Administration Chapel at the White City Rehabilitation Center (formerly the Dom), 8495 Crater Lake Highway, White City, Ore. Arrangements are by Pearson's Funeral Home of Roseburg, Ore.
