Talia (Evelyn) Miller passed away on Friday, December 24, 2010, at her home in Ashland, Ore. She was born on July 7, 1947, in New York City. A resident of Ashland, Ore., since 2007, she spent most of her adult life in Florida, Arizona and California. Talia had a rich professional life as a teacher, administrator, curriculum designer, trainer and coach.
As a breast cancer survivor, Talia founded the Breast Cancer Recovery Support Center. She coached hundreds of breast cancer survivors to avoid recurrence of the disease using the body-mind-spirit connection for healing. She spoke of her recovery from breast cancer as the most profound and transformative experience in her life.
Talia reported that throughout her life she had broadened and deepened her understanding of love. "I learned what love is in the world of form, all flavors and textures. I accomplished what I set out to learn." Her family and friends can attest that Talia radiated love and joy to all she met.
A celebration of Talia's life will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2011, at 1:00 p.m., at Hidden Springs Wellness Center, 1651 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland, Ore. Donations in Talia's memory may be made to Awakened Heart Ministry, 1262 Old Willow Lane, Ashland, OR 97520. www.chrisceline.org
