Junior guard Allison Shulenberger had 17 points, five rebounds and five steals and senior post Willie Michiels had four points and six rebounds for Ashland (2-5), which will play North Bend in a consolation game today at noon.

Willamette (6-1) forced four straight Ashland turnovers at the start of the third quarter and converted each into layups to extend its lead, which reached 26 points entering the final period.

"They used a quick trap that got my girls a little frazzled," Ashland head coach Emily Brookins said.
